Once planted in the Mission soils of South central State of Andhra Pradesh, in
India, the Missionaries of Faith found the need for various Ministries to enrich the
missionary aspect of the local Church.
At the request of the Bishop we had to take up parish activities in Nadipalli and
Allipalli, two rural villages, which later under the leadership of the MF Missionaries
would flourish and become communities full of faith and vitality.
The poor villages near Allipalli and Nadipalli welcomed the initiatives of the MF and
we decided to open our very First Orphanage in
Allipalli with few orphan children
who did not know where to go.  Soon this oasis of Faith and Charity became a
source of encouragement and guarantee for the poor and orphan children also
from the nearby villages who flocked to the orphanage seeking help from the MF
priests. We did not know what to do and it was then the Divine Providence
manifested through a group of Friends from Italy to lend us a hand economically to
establish the very First Orphanage.
Today, after almost 19 years we have nearly 500 students in this very First
orphanage. We have also opened other 6 more orphanages in different parts of the
country, precisely, at
Awk with 54 children, at Aluru with 38 children, at
Peddakorukondi with 28 children , at Longo with 123 children, at Bathili with 16
children, and a semiorphanage at
Marriveedu with 42 children.
Origin
India was the very first Mission opened by the Congregation outside Italy. The First
group of Ordinations were held in Italy on December 10, 1988. However it took
almost a year before we could open our very first Mission community in India. It was
erected on October 10, 1989. Among the 8 ordained, only four were assigned to our
Indian Mission in the beginning. Others joined later after their Higher studies. As
always the beginnings are always difficult. Every thing has to be built up from
scratch. The divine Providence, never abandoned us. The Local Ordinary, Bishop
John Mulagada of the Diocese of Eluru, became our Protector. Thus the new
Mission of the MF India started to spread its roots into the flourishing Indian soil, so
much in thirst for Christ and His Gospel.

Parishes and Santuaries
Parishes and Sanctuaries were the very first missionary activity, the local Bishop
entrusted the Missionaries of Faith with. The need for evangelization in the area
was great. People were open to Faith. What they needed were Missionaries who
could quench this their thirst.
The MF started with the two initial parishes in Allipalli and Nadipalli and then as the
others joined them and new vocations flourished took up Missionary activities in
different parts of the Diocese and State, and spreading later to the other States
with greater challenges.  Today, 19 years after of our existence in India as
Missionaries, we have take the pastoral care of a Sanctuary and 15 mission
parishes a Nation wide and various Mission stations outside India.
